    Default Brakes

On the rotors, do the inner seals need to be pressed on?

For some reason, the ones purchased JUST DON'T FIT....

Think they may have given me the wrong ones, but something definitely is NOT right...

Yes, they're pressed in, or more like tapped in with a plastic hammer or carefully with a steel hammer.

they are designed that way to prevet them loosening up and leaking grease out of the bearings.

Even with a hammer, these did not go in...

Time to buy more, take them to my friend's shop, and have him press them in for me...

If you have 86 and earlier rotors and seals for an 87 and up it isnt going to work

Took the rotors back to Budget....

Rotors are for a Mustang (no listing for a GT, just NON-SVO).
Seals are for a Mustang GT.....

    See a problem here?

So, I checked the new rotors with the old ones... same size...

Purchased new seals and should be good to go...

i guess if we see a bright flash of light followed by a mushroom cloud then we will know that something went terribly wrong then?

    Considering last weekend's events....

    *putting it back together*

1 - coolant leak, water pump gasket
2 - coolant leak, hose to water pump
3 - coolant leak, thermo gasket (still needs to be fixed)

Attempt to start, Oil Pressure, no fuel, no spark

4 - new fuel pump, lines backwards
5 - Duraspark, not plugged in
6 - coil wire not tight on dist.
7 - by this time, battery damn near dead....

Long hours are bad..... very bad......

(and I was not the only one working on the car....)
