I have a lower level 86 (I think) radio, not sure if it works. Came in a dash hull I bought years ago. In case you're interested.

Dang it! I haven't been out here much lately and just saw this now. Been looking for an OEM AM/FM/Cassette for my 83 GT for a year now. I have an AM/FM/Cassette that came with the sale (not installed), but it's not OEM and I was trying to keep the car as stock as possible. Hopefully another one will come along. As soon as I saw this post, I figured it had already sold. They're hard to find these days!
Had ~
'81 Mustang Ghia Hatchback, red, 4-cylinder, 5-speed, slow, but looked great!
Have ~
'83 Mustang GT Hatchback, white with black, stock 5.0, 5-speed, T-tops, dual exhaust
If they take my stapler, then I'll set the building on fire...

Interesting that the 1st pic in the listing is from a SVO, but the radio is not from a SVO. At least the knobs and the faceplate aren't.

Yep. The radios like that for the Mustangs and Capri’s had a tag on the top that said “For Mustang and Capri”.

Bought a new factory radio once from the dealer. For a Ford truck.
Truck. Maybe more durable construction? Na. Had to adapt mounting brackets, etc.
Lost count on replacing radios in my car. Factory, aftermarket.
Currently have a 92 Escort DIN mount radio with matching harness. Non-cassette. 5.00 from a salvage yard.
Those have gotten scarce now too.
Shaft mount styles are just too hard to replace. But later years and models have different wiring pin outs.
Do miss the mechanical push buttons and control knobs.
Here's one with the sticker on it...
