Red vinyl top? Seen the car in person. Do not remember noticing the red roof was vinyl. Classy touch.
With a sunroof, less material is needed lower cost; added worktime to install.
Appears to be one or the one main feature giving away why the car stand outs somehow as visually different.
Car was at FWHQ Foxfest 2023.
Was heading west going home in the rain from the show. Oh wow the car was being driven in the other lane.
Paced it back to NPD whse in Canton. Not easy in wet weather conditions and early evening darkness.
Took a few pics with phone cannot understand where they went now hwth.
Several taken at red lights and last one at NPD.
After almost an hour outside, car was moved inside thru a front dock door.
Was a rare chance to see a new bit of a historical car's ongoing history in real time.

There were two assembly plants producing Mustangs for model year 1979, so there were two VINs ending with 100001. This one is from the Dearborn Plant.
