Default Looking for Rubber Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings

    Hello all.

I am looking for Rubber Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings for my 1983 Mustang GT.

I am having a time finding these. I could do poly, but since the rest is rubber I would like to go that route.

    Thanks for any help!

Lower control arm axle to torque box right?
If so, have been looking for years to re bush a spare arm with rubber.
Many rubber bushing choices am sure they are out there.
Picked up bushings for the Ranger's rear springs.
Fox Mustang? RCA uppers no problem, FLCA no problem.
But part descriptions confuse rear front lower control arms. Front rear, no rear front.
Entire rear uppers or front a arms are available. Rear axle lca? Only aftermarket with poly.
They say rlca arm would prob crush trying to press in a new metal sleeved rubber bushing.
Factory did it. Why cannot they be done with a custom DIY tooling setup to reinforce arm?
With aftermarket and poly, have to do both sides same time. But what if oe arm on other side is fine?
Plus poly needs greasing and who really needs their added maintenance?

Unfortunately these are not for the 1983 model, but here is an option for the 85-93 Oval if you want the stock rubber bushings. Not cheap by any means, but an option. https://fcrcmachine.com/rare-parts-r...mustang-22033/

My .02 would be to purchase a set of Maximum Motorsports rear lower control arms and call it good. You can buy this set for basically the same price as the bushings above. https://www.maximummotorsports.com/S...998-P1481.aspx you will notice a small increase in NVH, but the rear end will be much more predictable and better planted in all situations. Well worth the time and $$ IMHO. Good Luck!

If you're really set on having rubber bushings back there, you may be just as well off buying whole new rear lower control arms with the bushings already in them. There may be others, but here's one example....

I might end up going this route.

    Thank you all

Could also buy a set of aftermarket arms, and find your own rubber bushings.

Might be a decent compromise between those large rubber mushy stock bushings, and urethane.
This is the type of bushing Roush uses on the the upper/lower rear control arms on my 14 Mustang GT.

No real change in NVH over stock control arms/bushings, but way better for wheel hop/at the track.

Now that new RLCA are more available, the need to replace bushings looks off my list too.
Helps knowing current statis on where to get them when the time comes.
Have decent factory ones on the car here now, other than they date back to the 80's.
DS is original, PS is a lucky boneyard find off an SVO. EZ pick mostly unbolted waiting for a taker.
Boy, a worn out arm bushing really makes a car yaw getting on and off the gas on the freeway.
The front bushing rubber finally split, allowing the bolt's sleeve to slide back and forth.
Whole thing started with a RR clunk only at certain times when driving.
Clunk sort of went away when the bushing split and the new yaw action became a serious concern.
Could not find new factory style arms at the time, so the good used SVO arm got the call off the shelf.

Is about time it is lot easier to find factory version repro foxcar front and rear control arms.
They were not as easy to find as poly version arms having replaceable bushings.
Noted interesting posted bushing links. Rare Parts have raw prices.

Took a while before finding the Ranger's spring bushing sizes. Measure twice, order once.
To avoid wasting time at home or embarrassment taking the car, and wrong new parts, to a shop.
Was one of those deals where the truck could have came with one of several Moog sizes.
