    Default Engine Harness Repair

I am looking at repairing my engine harness. Wires in harness are corrode and become brittle. Can you buy replacement pins? Can you buy a new 8 pin connector?

    Thanks

Thinking WPT-678 looks like the male (or female, depending on how you classify male and female connectors)...

I found another listing for that connector and it indicates it's a repair pigtail for an instrument cluster connector. Not sure on if it would also work for the engine harness. Guess you would have to see if the gauge of the wire is the same. I checked online and it doesn't look like it's available any longer. You could always contact a local Ford dealer and see if they could do a search for it.

Not having much luck on the opposite connector.

I do remember seeing that style of connector under my dash. I also have a few spare harnesses that I can scavenge pigtails for replacements. Another option I was thinking was to cut the wire off and solder a new wire on. There is at least a quarter inch of metal to attach on to. Any idea if the pins are available or where to look?
I would want both connectors-male and female

Auveco makes many hardware items for a lot of the auto manufacturers. They make the connectors (or ones just like them) in the previous post by "Autobahn".
