Default Distributor base clamp nut----what is the part number for this tool?

Hello there, I'm looking for the wench for reaching underneath the distributor of the 2.3 liter engine, to adjust the ignition timing...Does anyone actually use this wrench? I found it difficult to use an open-end wrench, but not impossible, I'd just like to have the means of accomplishing this task a little easier. And if there is a device that will help, great!!!

I'm thinking 13mm, not sure. Been awhile. I changed mine to an allen head bolt to make it easier.

17mm. I use a Craftsman 3/8-drive socket shortened to about .725 and immediately driven thru a swivel and a wobble extension.

Neighbor was a GM toolmaker and made me 2 sets, four different wrench sizes.
He used a sketch i drew of what i needed.
Regular box wrench ends cut to 3" and welded to 8" bar stock.
Setting timing is a piece of cake with one. No dropped sockets, etc. Safer too.
Forgot which size i use. 1/2"? The 1/2" one has more grime in the wrench box cuts.
Been 20 years since the last total timing session on the 2.3.
79 cars had metric and sae so dis bolt could be diff than later year EFI 2.3 engines.

The distributor wrench for these is 17mm 12 point, you can search ford 2.3l distributor wrench to find them, otc, rotunda and a few others made them.
I dont know about the later ones but the hose that goes right over the bolt really makes it tough to get it on there, I broke mine using it as a cheater bar but itll still tighten the bolt and fits on it easier now.

Not saying it's the right size hex (I don't actually know myself), but is this what you're referring to?
