    Default Wheels on ascmclaren.com

Has anybody purchased from them? I didn't know they were still a thing.

I'm wondering what the "w/exchange" means in the price. Hopefully this isn't just a refinishing service.

I sent them an email and all wheels are 15x7, which would be an awesome direct replacement for the "10-holes".

I mocked up a set of the "Anthracite" and I'm kind of digging it. Would match the charcoal trim nicely. $275/ea is NOT a bad price. $50 for each plastic center cap is a bit of a scalp though.

"with exchange" typically means you give them the identical rims, in any condition, and they sell you the same rims that have been reconditioned. It is not a refinishing service.... they aren't redoing your rims.... just selling a you set they had redone as long as they receive a set to replace them. At least that's what I've found to be the case in the past. Curious what they have to say though.

Well that sucks! Talk about getting my hopes up.

You're probably right, that's the most logical explanation. The information on their site is pretty skimpy.

Guess I'll settle for a t-shirt or keychain....

Here I was thinking for a second you could buy brand new ASC wheels.....LOL....My blinders were up.

An alternative it is to convert to 5-lugs and use 16” Mark VII LSC BBS wheels.

The ASC rims can be found pretty much all over the place. I have picked up a few here and there. They are rarely dirt cheap and refinishing will cost over $100 each. There are 2 types of the mesh wheels. Center cap and hub recess is different. Check Ebay, FB and Craigs List.

Emailed Hank from ascmclaren.com who replied with the following information:

Used wheels (said they are usually in pretty good shape): $150/each with no exchange
New wheels: $400/each with no exchange
New wheels with exchange: $275 each

SO - It looks like you can get a brand new set of genuine ASC mesh wheels for ~$1600

Here is a sample photo of a "Used" set he sent me- NOT BAD for $600. Wow.

Excellent alternative. They are actually BBS wheels that Ford contracted with them to manufacture. Oh, you did say that. Ugh.

The last couple of used ASC wheels I have picked up for $100 a set. Some needed to be refinished. Look out for mixed sets. There are 2 types and I'm not referring to the machined spokes.
