    Default New member, new ride!

New member here with my recent purchase! A little bit of a different four-eyed fox, it’s a 1978 Mercury Zephyr Z-7. It’s not perfect by any means and the odometer is broken, but it’s very original and, based on the documentation, I think it only has around 80k miles. It made the 1.5 hour drive home going 80 MPH no problem. Also found a folder in the trunk with the owner’s manual, build sheet, brochures, a ‘78 issue of Car & Driver with the first road test of the Zephyr, etc. Plus a box of 8-tracks! I wish it was about any other color 😬 but I love this car!

Welcome , looks nice , car has real bumpers ! The front fender vents , are they fake or functional ? I Like a car with a trunk , would prefer a trunk over our hatch. Wonder if you have to assume that the 1/4 windows leak unless you can prove other wise . I did not know my 1/4 windows leaked until a rust hole appeared at the body seam below both windows .

Welcome to FEP. That's a great color and unique! I think I mentioned to you that LMR makes 27 in 20 holes that would look awesome on there.

Congrats on your not-the-usual 4-eye Fox. That's a cool find. Looks to be in really good shape too. And that literature it came with is a neat thing to have also.

What are your plans for it?
