    Default SVO Spring Specs

    Greetings!

I am new to this forum. First post! Excited about interacting with you. I'm currently in the process of putting together a high end, extremely respectful SVO build. Had one back in '84 when I was just a kid (20). Actually had a bit of interaction with SVO back then via a high level marketing guy at FMC.

Looking for Ford spring specs for H/HAX, G/ROS, N/POE, and R/POD. I'm sure many of you know the first letter is the spring code located on a door jam tag. E.g., 2HHRR. The HAXs and PODs are build codes. Don't have part numbers. Not sure if I need them. Just need specs - rates, etc. The SVO chassis guys sorted out the tune with Koni engineers plus a lot of track time. Lots of experimentation. Several combos made it to production if memory serves. I want new custom built springs using SVO specs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

The Official Ford Mustang 5.0 Technical Reference & Performance Handbook (pg. 376) says that each character in the four single-digit code character spring designation (i.e., HHRR) "is keyed to the coil spring's part number and spring rates. Translation keys to this coded data are published in each 1980-and-later Mustang's service manual; some are explained further in dealer literature."

Looks like factory service manuals may have the info you're looking for.
