    Default Turbo Coupe no start

Recently replaced a few things under hood, valve cover and fuel injectors and now the dang thing won't start/fire up. Have fuel @ the rail and spark but it just cranks with no sign of firing. Have looked it over multiple times to see if I missed a connection somewhere but can't spot anything. Did have the throttle body off also.
What the heck am I missing here ???

Is the injector harness connected? New injectors?

    Is the TPS plugged in?

Yes, new injectors. Harness plugged into the injectors. TPS should be connected, will double check that.

Hard to say without it front of me, but from what you mentioned, it doesn't sound like you were near anything to cause a potential no-start.

    Are the injectors actually firing?

That's what I was thinking also, there's only so many connections there between the TB, injectors, etc.

Haven't verified actual injector firing yet. Should be able to do that with a test light and actual cranking correct?

That or a set of noid lights might be easier. If you pull a plug after cranking for a while is it wet with gas?

    Zen -
Did you try a blast of starting fluid to see if it will fire? What's the pressure on the fuel rail?

Checked injectors with noid light and they are firing. Pulled the plugs and they were wet, installed new plugs and it fired up for few seconds but would not keep running. We are thinking it's getting too much fuel? Need to get a gauge to check pressure.
Might throw the original injectors back in too see what happens. Original thought on replacing injectors was because it ran like crap last year when I bought it.

    Yeah, check pressure.

Does the hose from the FPR to the intake smell like fuel?

What size injectors did you use?

    Will do ....
Not sure, I would think everything might smell like fuel there
Assuming stock size injectors? Bought from Rock auto

Well, the diaphragm in the FPR's fail and wind up pumping fuel directly into the intake, which will cause things to be WAY rich.

Hard to tell if the injectors are "good" or not, based on a quick Google search.

Check pressure, check the FPR, and maybe reinstall the old injectors as a test.

I've seen stock fuel pressure regulators fail and you'll see fuel come out when you pull the vacuum line off the regulator.

It sounds like you know you are getting spark and you didn't do anything to change the timing of it. No reason to think you suddenly lost compression. You are definitely getting fuel, but maybe too much of it. Chuck's advice should get you home.

Bought a pressure gauge today and will hopefully check that & the FPR tonight.

Replaced the FPR last night and same results, will run for a few seconds then die off. Still need to get a gauge on it, hopefully tomorrow.

Since you know you atleast got fuel did you make sure the firing order is correct, have you checked the distributor or timing?
You couldve moved it while you were working on it.

Just an update on this............ Ended up swapping injectors and put the original stock ones back in and it fired right up & kept running albeit a bit rich. Drove it around the block and it isn't terrible but not great yet. Only making around 7# of boost due an adjustable boost valve that I haven't messed with yet.
    So, some progress ?

Did you ever check the fuel pressure? You should verify that before you swap any more parts.

Yes, mounted a gauge on the rail, I think it was @ 30# running.

I have taken those black injectors out of two cars that were not running properly and put stock ones back in and it worked a lot better.
