Default Maker's Garage - Front splitter

    Hey all -

Does anyone here have any experience with Maker's Garage products?

They sell some 87-93' splitters that may be a better alternative to the Mach 1 lip folks commonly fabricate to fit.

On their "Wheel configurator" tool - this is pictured, and it looks really sharp - but I don't see it available in their store. I wonder if the 87-93' lip offered is a better "out of the box" fit than the Mach 1? Hmm.

Which one would fit better, the LX or GT style? Either way they are on the pricey side compared to the Mach style.

Most likely the LX would be a better match to the Four Eyed front lower bumper cover. Unfortunately there are some differences in the shape between the 83-86 and the 87-93 front bumper covers so it will not match up perfectly. Might be a better match than the Mach chin spoiler, but again the Maker's are definitely more expensive.

There were some updates I remember seeing on the Maker's Garage Instagram account/newsletter

They have a 4-Eye front splitter that is in the works and should be available in the next few months!!

I imagine it'll look like the one posted above.

That's great! I may consider one if they're not too outrageously priced.

    UPDATE:

For anyone interested, it looks like they are finally producing a 1984.5 GT through 1986 GT front splitter. I saw a recent post from them on Instagram.

Definitely looking forward to picking one up!

I'm thinking real hard about it. It is awful pricey for ABS after shipping and taxes, but they do seem to make quality stuff and it looks really good.

I'd like to see a real one on a real car. Renderings are cool and all but...

Same. The problem is they produce splitters in batches and who knows the next time this will be available.

Here's an actual photo on an LX from their website. They say the GT/LX splitters are identical.

I assume it would fit exactly the same on an SVO. That would be a great addition to my grabber orange SVO.

While I like the look from viewing only the front, when I looked at the rendering with the side view I got the impression that it will make the car look a little "front heavy" and change the overall flow of the design look. Personal choice, though. Some folks trick their foxes out with those crazy wide "bling" wheels and tires. It doesn't appeal to me in the least, but others seem to like it. Personal preference, but not my cup of tea. The same goes for when somebody puts a front spoiler on and no other side or back skirting. Gives it an uneven look that doesn't appeal to my eye. I like symmetry.
