    ur welcome
always enjoyed visits to windsor. have not been since 9/11.
Michigan Ave is a main bus route. detroit part parallels Mexican downtown to the south.
Large carryout Mexican Botanas are great.

Leisurely driving pace on the ave allows sightseeing and time to adjust to the changing surroundings.
Freeways downtown can get crazy with construction and messy traffic.
FWHQ show is less than 10 miles from downtown Detroit, roughly about 5 miles to Dearborn/Detroit border.
Mich ave is a direct route vs taking several freeways and doubling the distance.

One may catch a 2024 white/black camo Ford or other future product with manufacturers license plates being road tested.
Fairly common sight in Metro Detroit, rare anywhere else.

Buddy's Pizza, in 'mainstream' end is a great summer place to dine.
If you're coming from out of town/state, Buddy's Pizza is legit, but I would personally skip the chain restaurant and go straight for the kabobs, falafel, hummus, and shawarma. Some of the absolute best I've ever had.

Same can be said for the Mexican stands - Make sure you get an agua fresca and elote, but that's more of a snack than a proper meal.

Being cheap never went out regularly to eat. Too many good local non-chain spots to list. No bars anymore.
Back in the 80's got Botana carryout at Xochimilco Restaurant in Mexican town. Still priced under 10.00.
    DeLucas in Westland for Italian.
Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck. Beet, Pickle soup. https://www.bing.com/search?q=polish...ANAB01&PC=U531
Lakepointe Yacht Club in Livonia. https://restaurantguru.com/Lakepoint...ivonia#gallery.
Down the road from the Lakepointe. Try to visit. https://roushcollection.com/
Fleetwood Diner in Ann Arbor. Hippy Hash(browns) fresh grated in house. http://thefleetwooddiner.com/about/
Duggans on M1 Woodward Ave in Royal Oak. Car theme. Two story open air. Menu has recipes from now extinct local 50's drive ins.

Ford's Garage in Dearborn, just west from the show, is also car themed. https://www.fordsgarageusa.com/locations/dearborn/
Coney Islands, pizza, everywhere. National Coney, Little Caesars, Jet's. Mitch's party store pizza on US-12 in Wayne.
Multi location Buscemi's party stores have square pizza, subs, cannoli. https://originalbuscemis.com/
Long gone but not forgotten in Detroit:
Jumbo fried shrimp, 1/2#, extra hot sauce and crackers, Faygo soda carryout at O'Quinns Shrimp House.
    Boogaloo sandwiches at Brothers BBQ.
    Reuben at Snelli Deli.

Just in case, closest Ford dealer is Village Ford couple miles west of show loc on US-12 MIchigan Ave.
