    Default Driveshaft Question

    Hello everyone I have a 1982 Capri V8 with a s-rod transmission I have a five-speed that I want to do a swap with can my s-rod drive shaft will work with the five-speed
    ~LES~
    157 HP @ 4200 RPM
    240 ft/lb @ 2400 RPM

    When I put the t5 in my '83 hatch I seem to remember I used the driveshaft again. I think.

    83 5.0 GT. Quicker than it looks! 10:1 (or just over) 306, Motorsport a332 cam, 140A alt, t5 conv, 8.8 w/ 3.27's, Edel rpm, alum rad, very worked e7's, Holley SA carb, etc... SOLD IT!!!!

    Now an 1981 Granada! 9.5:1 .040 over 302, Edel E-street heads, 268 cam, T5, 8.8 with 3.55, plus all the stiffening goodies, all control arms, lowered, alum shaft, x-pipe with Outlaws, FiTech FI system...

    It's been a really long time...around 86...since I swapped the Srod 4 speed in my then 82 GT to a T5, but I don't recall having to use another driveshaft for the T5...
    HAD
    '82 GT monochromatic (red)...black cloth

    HAVE
    '85 GT vert two tone (white on charcoal)...white leather
    '00 F350 two tone (white on silver)...gray cloth
    '00 Excursion Limited two tone (white on tan)...tan leather...wifes ride
    '08 Taurus Limited ice blue...tan leather...daughter ride
    '08 Edge Limited white sand tri-coat metallic...tan leather...other daughters ride

    Have a 1992 1352-209 2.3 T5 in my 79 2.3T.
    Car came with a RAD trans (4 speed, 4th 1:1 no o/d) from factory.
    Changed to a '91 5 speed Mustang drive shaft from salvage yard in 2002.
    Wire wheeled and repainted it before install. U-joints were fine.
    The oe ds was a bit too long to me. Front yoke was deeper into the trans.
    The replacement matched the same yoke depth as the RAD combo.
    2.3 5 speed ds is 41.5" long, 7.5 rear. V8 is prob the same one.
