LMR Cruise-In show

I gotta tell ya guys....my wife and I ran down from Tulsa area to Dallas and attended the Late Model Resto show at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and was thoroughly amazed at how big it was!!!! They have the cars broken up into generational categories so your not stuck in the midst of all the 15-up straight piped Coyote cars (not a fan of the obnoxious-loud exhaust every one of the owners feels the need to constantly rev up for the entire county to hear.....but thats another post)

Anyways.....we heard comments of 5000 to 6000 cars in attendance, and while theres no registration to keep an accurate count, I believe the count was easily in the thousand's range!!! The place was packed and full of nice cars and alot of friendly people. Showing up in my 86 Capri, I was one of THREE Capri's in attendance and had alot of people asking questions and taking pics, plus the " oh man, my -fill in the family member or friend name here- had one of these years ago!!" stories, it was nice to hear some fun stories!!

They even had one of the garages open and had quite the collection of 2000 Cobra R's there, along with a MINT 93 Cobra R thats never been dealer prepped and had around 100 miles on it.....2 fully restored SSP Pursuit cars- an 86 Texas Highway Patrol Car and a 92 Kansas Patrol Car- and so many Lightnings from stock to full out drag trucks!!!

I think we're planning on going again next year and would be fun to see some more FOX's there!!!

I can't imagine seeing that many cars. That would be really neat to be a part of that show. I always enjoy seeing pics of your car.

I hadn't seen that video yet JTurbo!!! Thanks for posting it up here.....I saw my wife and I walking around in a couple shots, then they commented on the Capri's pulling in!!! Have to laugh because the maroon Capri in front of me is a guy near OKC that had come to the house a few months ago to buy some parts from me and we happened to meet up pulling in and parked together.

I remember when Shannon was just starting that company, called 50resto back then. It was at one of the world ford challenge in St Louis.

I wish that I had known about this, it's just a short drive from from here. I'm out of touch with the current Fox community and don't use FB much so miss things that are primarily posted there. We should plan a foureyedpride meet up at this event next year.
