    Default 86 Turbo Coupe speedo

Trying to figure out why the speedo does not work in my Turbo coupe. I assumed it was a cable driven speedo (like the Mustang) but after taking the cluster out it appears to be electronic. Any ideas on what to look for to get it operating?

Is the VSS sensor connected at the trans? There is a gear drive attached in place of the speedo cable that sends a signal to the cluster.

(Pretty sure '85 was the last of the cable-driven speedos in the TBirds)

Will check it out once it gets back from the shop, thanks! Do you know if the Ford 1986 shop manuals would show this in some detail?

I would imagine an EVTM or wiring diagram would show what's needed. The EVTM would probably be the better choice.
