Thread: Sun Visors

    Default Sun Visors

My sun visors, especially the drivers side, is very worn. It likes to slide back and hit me in the head under acceleration. I might try and swap the pass side over the the drivers side, but i noticed my visors are only attached to the car on the B pillars, there is no attachment point in the middle. Are there any other sun visors like maybe a Mustang/Capri that have attachments on both ends?

    Thanks

Tbird ones have a 2nd mounting bracket.

The M/C ones are the same as the F/Z.

Been 5 years since i did the magnet mod. 100% fixed. No mods to visors or headliner.
Visors can be rotated down like normal. The neo magnets hold real good.
Or can be pulled off magnet and swung over to shield from side sun.
When not in use, the visors stay in firmly in place at the correct position.

I put SN95 lighted sun visors in my car with the second bracket. You have to kind of fudge where the second bracket goes, but it looks good.

My 81 Capri did the same thing with the sun visors . for sure needs another support . When i redid the head liner i asked the shop to not cut holes in the new recovered head liner where the sun visors mount . car now has no sun visors ! I am 6 feet tall , could not see the road under the sun visor .

My Ranger has the extra visor clips near the rv mirror. Have not found any without holes or tears.
Lucked out with the magnet mod. No holes needed to be cut for them and they stay in place.
The 3 magnet stack is just the right height to span from metal roof to the outside of headliner with no bulges.
Visor was needed driving into the sunrise and sunset to and from work certain times of the year.
