Went to install rebuilt calipers from the parts store and new pads on the car to see if my old junkyard calipers were part of my problem. When I went to compress my front piston I had fluid squirt out from the rear of the master cylinder. Great, I guess I'll do the MC too.

Since I'm still not convinced I had all the air out of my system I took this opportunity and bought another 1" bore MC (so I wouldn't have to change my brake fittings and it would be a direct swap).

Bench bled the MC slowly and patiently. Ensured I was all good, popped it in and pressure bled the whole system once, went in and pumped the pedal a bunch and then bled the whole system again. No air bubbles coming from any calipers even while tapping with a rubber mallet so I figured I was good.

Got it back on the ground and...meh. It doesn't feel all that different TBH, pedal is still a little soft and can't lock them up. Pretty disappointing.
