    Default 1985 SVO Rims

I'm looking at a set of 1985 Mustang SVO rims. They are in nice condition, say 90%. What is a fair purchase price?

    Thanks in advance.

In my experience they are not worth a lot, generally $30-$50 per wheel in most cases depending on location, etc. If they have the center caps, they are worth more since those are getting hard to find. Same goes if the lug nuts are included.

Thanks. They want $400 for the set without center caps. I think I'll pass.

As with most original wheels, they seem to have value but the slightest of imperfections will require refinishing. The refinishing will end up costing $150 per wheel without center cap and lugs. I have yet to see wheels that don't need to be refinished. Even my own.

Maybe at $200 per set, it may be a fair deal.

I paid $300 for mine a good 10 years ago. They still really need a good polishing. My thinking was, you don't run into them every day, and I definitely had those specific wheels in mind for my project.

Yep, agree with Trey. Maybe $150 for the set of 4. Center caps share with the Tempo and lugs are available from Dorman.

Agree with Kevin... plenty of used wheels out there though. I would find a nice used set, at a good price, with no nicks or damage and just have then redone. Heck even I have a few extra sets laying around.

Wow.....I've always liked the SVO wheels and wanted to have a set, "just in case" and ironically I passed on 3 different sets of them this past summer at swap meets.....one of which was Ford Carlisle- those were actually sold when I went back to grab them- and the other 2 sets were decent but needed a good cleaning and were $100/set and the nicer set was $175/set. Kinda regret not grabbing them now, just to have.
