A friend has offered me his mom’s 83 LTD (Fox body). It currently has the 3.3 straight six. My plans are to upgrade to Cobra specs, engine, 5- speed and 8.8. Can I use the existing K member or what year and model will I need?

Any of the Fox Mustang non-I6 k-members will work.

There is an option of an older F150 302 motor mount that is supposed to work on an I6 K-member to mount a Windsor motor, but I think it slightly changes the engine location.
