    Default High roller 86 capri

For anyone getting a BIG tax return there is a nice 86 restomod for sale at Streetside Classics in Atlanta for $50000.
My $10k 83 is headed in this direction but hoping it doesn’t take another $40k to get there! Nice car though.

Not sure why 427 markings all over a 396 car since similar 396 emblems are available. Digger Don Dixon was a respected builder here in Atlanta but he has been retired for at least 5 years.

Wow, that resembles a Capri that Ken Ingram built back in the early 90s. He did most of the same changes, however it was blue.

It's a nice looking Capri, but NOT $50K nice IMHO. Just too many little things that aren't finished or are not finished well IMHO to bring top dollar. Not that top dollar is anywhere $50K, but still.

No body side molding between the wheels. Might be their opinion that it looks good, but again looks unfinished to me.

Mustang tail lights on the Capri, just not working again IMHO.

The early 4 eye rear wing and flat hatch . . . Not sure, but opinions will vary.

Aero quarter glass, again not my taste, but opinions will vary.

What's with the passenger shock access cover laying on the floor??? Couldn't take 10 seconds to at least set it in place or install properly before taking pictures.

The map pocket being stretched out, again just not $50K looking.

What is going on with the steering column cover against the instrument cluster?? Maybe its the angle of the photo, but doesn't look right.

Steering wheel appears to be 94+ and just doesn't fit the styling of the rest of the interior, especially with whatever that emblem is that was stuck on the air bag.

What is with all the added interior lights in the lower door panel and in the rear quarter panels?

Engine compartment looks nice. Appears to be a really clean and in good shape. Just not seeing $50K worth of parts nor work to justify the price. Not really trying to sound so negative. Must be a Monday!

I see that as a cobbled mess. I'm sure someone, somewhere will love it and be crazy enough to cough up a huge chunk of change for it, but theres no way I personally see nearly 50k sitting there. It looks like I pulled all my extra Capri parts out and threw them all at a body and called it custom.

Probably 5000 not 50000, seems like a typo.

$48,995.00 No typo. Seen 93 Cobras listed for north of that these days.

People are still asking insane prices, but I don't think they are selling. I've seen 93 Cobras listed for 80K

Update - 2023 - Looking to buy 81 Mustang, 82/85/86 Mustang GT, and 79 - 86 Capri (No Sunroof). Not looking for all original/show cars or convertibles - I will be modifying. Would be nice if both were - Black Interior, PW, PL, AC, No - or very little rust. Motor/Trans/Axle not important. Options negotiable with price.

This is the kind of build that a you better LOVE if you buy it, as in forever.
Resale is really not going to happen (for anywhere near that kind of money)
when there is that much "mis-maushed" together AND very little left stock
(while elminating a lot of the original Capri uniqueness).

Jeeezuz! 50k?! It should have a supercharged Coyote and Magnum T56 for a drivetrain instead for that price.

At least! In my opinion, if one of these cars is not stock, then it better have enough performance mods done to equal the price they're asking.

IMHO any Fox should be letter-perfect & OEM for $30K-plus. No exceptions.

One of my favorite Big Dollar letter-perfect Capris, (some may remember), was
an ultra-rare Bright Red 1983 Capri L with 5.0/5speed, original paint, Tan Sport Seats, and all options.

I believe it was $18,000. Sure, it was around 2012, but could park it in a showroom anyplace in America, T-tops too

It's not something I would pay big money for, but there are "resto mod" 68 - 70 Chargers that have been bringing well over 100K. Hellcat swapped, brakes, etc.. In some markets the modified cars are bringing more money than original. Not my taste, but it is a thing.

Even at $38k that car is still way overpriced! I know I paid a lot for my ‘85 Coupe, but I know it is way more car than that! I doubt that car will get $20k
