Default Early AC line to 87 AC compressor? Anyone done it?

Hey guys. Quick AC question. I have a 79, AC equipped car, pictured below. Im swapping in a 87 and up motor and accessories. Obviously the lines are different from era to era but, has anyone adapted the early fox dryer setup to the newer condenser and compressor. Pics below! Thanks for any help. I would think a shop that does hydraulic hoses should be able to make up a hose with the ends you need.

Just my .02 your opinion may differ.

The early H valve A/C systems can be very difficult to get to cool properly even when using the original R12 freon. If you plan on using R134a, I would highly recommend you swap the entire under dash unit out for the later model orifice tube system. That will allow you to use off the shelve A/C lines and parts without having to have custom lines made, etc.

I did this to my 79 PC, although mine was original a heat only car, but I swapped in a 1986 underdash unit and control head and everything looks and works really well even with R134a freon. There are some minor differences in boxes through the years and the control units vary depending on year model, but you should be able to make your existing control unit work with any of the later models HVAC boxes with little to no changes. Good Luck!
