    Default Vintage wiring question

Do the 84 mustangs/capris have a sub harness that runs between the factory amp and the radio on the premium sound system or does it just plug-in radio to amp? My Capri has the factory AM/FM cassette with auto reverse and the premium sound system with the amp pull switch.

Yes, there is a sub harness. It is usually by passed when an aftermarket radio is installed. The main issue is the speaker outputs share a common wire and it does not work with aftermarket radios.
