Default Infamous Red GT Enduro M81 DSO has a new home

    Hey all,
Just wanted to give an update on this forum as to the whereabouts of the red GT Enduro M81 DSO.
Well, it's mine now and undergoing a revitalization.
I don't come around these parts often, but if anyone wants to keep up on the progress of the car, give my Instagram a look or follow.

Also, looking for a Foxbody focused shop in the Los Angeles/SFV area. I've been given a couple suggestions so far, but I'd like to see what else is around.

I believe I saw the car at an MCA show back east around 2002-2004.

Did this car belong to Wilson Swilley at one point?

Yes, this is the former Wilson car. I bought it from the guy that bought it and Wilson's race car.

    Thanks, Kendal.

Here's a couple pics from a recent event here in Los Angeles.
Had to gut the old interior. Full of mold and rat's nests... and a dead rat.

    Finally in the shop.
Although it looks amazing, many of the mechanicals are in poor shape.
And what isn't in poor shape is the best that malaise-era engineering had to offer... which isn't great.
I'm not one to ever just put anything back to stock.

-347 stroker w/ Holley Sniper EFI
    -T56 Magnum 6-speed trans
-'96 Mustang Cobra 8.8 rear, spindles, and brakes (5 lug)
-Maximum Motorsports Max Grip suspension package
-Wheels/tires to be sorted out, but I'm keeping the look of the current wheels. Just larger.
(I reserve the right to change my mind about anything at any time, but 90% of the parts are already purchased.)

And for anyone crying foul... If this were an M81 McLaren, I wouldn't touch it.
But seeing as how it's a Dealer Special Order based on an '82 GT, I feel it's fine to take some liberties.
The body is the only real unobtanium. The rest of the car has gone through a few transformations through the years already.
