    Default New member, say hello.

    Howdee,
I’m a 56 year old man, who loves Mustangs and fast Fords. I’ve bled blue since I was a kid. I’ve always been into older generations of Mustangs, but now I have my first Foxbody Mustang. It’s a fairly rare car 1 of 334, 1985 SVO Mustang. Unfortunately I bought it as a roller, and it is now powered by a 94 5.8L roller cam engine, TKO 500 transmission. Of course the original SVO bumpers, spats and 2.3T are long gone. Thanks for letting me join.

    Welcome!

a little younger than you but we learn pretty quick that age is only a number. Long Covid has pretty well kicked the youth and half way kicked the life out of me

Merkur and a few others had a 2.3T that is directly compatible if you want to correct the drivetrain challenges

seems to me 94 mustang a-arms are about the right length for the wide track width and different offset wheels found on the SVO

pretty much any 2005+ wheels are a good fit on the SVO provided the wheel clears the bearing hub

Thanks for the welcome. I’m not planning to go back to a stock SVO configuration as far as the engine & transmission, or the rear axle. I would consider going back to the original style front body parts, and rear bumper, taillights. But from what I’ve found so as far as used SVO body parts, have been way over priced for worn out parts. I could buy a running car for the prices for everything I need.
