    Default Question about dashpad

I bought a og dashpad from a 82 Mustang from a friend. The question is he had a aftermarket speakers in the dash and the pad developed two bumps where the speakers are. I would like to make them flat if possible. Has anyone flatten them before if so please how did you do it. The dash pad has no cracks in it.

Congrads on the no crack pad. Mine finally cracked in the middle. Is on the to do list.

Had to 'surgically' remove crumbly old dash speaker hole foam to make JBL speakers fit. So far so good.
Took hours but was worth it. Gluing in protective speaker cloth really made the areas stronger.

    May help:
my post #32, on the page below, has pics and details how i clearanced the grill area foam for aftermarket JBL speakers.
