    Default LTD LX Tachometer with 1986 3.8 V6 CFI

    Does anyone know if this will work? I managed to find an LTD LX instrument cluster, but still have the v6 in my car.

    Should, still uses the same basic ignition system.

    Thanks. I had seen that, but still not sure if it will work. There is no tach wire on my harness, and I'm not sure where to get it from. From the negative side of the ignition coil? Also not sure if it will read a 6 cylinder correctly since it came out of an 8 cylinder car. I don't really care if it's off some since I'm not racing, but don't want to fry it.

    Good point, I wasn't even thinking 6 vs 8 cyl. Probably won't read right at all like you said.
    But yes, I ran new wire from coil to that connector. I stole a wire from that connector off a parts
    car and soldered another wire to it to go to coil. So the connector still works/looks factory like, anyway.
