    Forgive my ignorance, but i have never heard of this switch.
    What is its purpose? Was this a stock switch?

    It is to turn the dash-mounted amplifier on and off located below the headlight switch. The amplifier was part of the "Premium Sound System" option. I think this is correct. I ended up with the switch buying a parts lot.

    It's actually located in front of the drivers right knee.

    I was thinking "amperage" and not "amplifier" lmao

    The panther platform cars received the full text to avoid any confusion.... "Amplifier Pull"


    Good luck with your sale. I use these switches to manually turn on and off my aftermarket amplifiers.

    That's what I recall from my ole 82 GT from back in the day. My girlfriend at the time had an 83 which did not have it, but hers was a late 83 with the 5 speed.
