    Default Driveline Vibration

I have a vibration in my 79 Pace Car. It's a 302 with the original SROD. The vibration can be felt when in 3rd and 4th gear and decelerate. The driveshaft was balanced and the u-joints don't have any play.

Any thoughts on what to check beyond what I have already done?

Vibrations that come and go with speeds are usually tires or wheels. Try rotating 1 tire at a time.

Just because there's no play in the u-joints doesn't mean there not bad. R@R the driveshaft and check the joints for binding, lack of grease or notchyness or rough feeling.

I rotated the tires, to no avail. I will pull the driveshaft and look at the u-joint.
    Thanks for the replies....

Try to find the yellow paint marks and line them up at the rear when reinstalling the drive shaft.
