    Default Aftermarket ac options

Hello everyone, not sure this is the correct section or not but has anyone installed any of the aftermarket ac kits like vintage air or any others?

My 79 was factory ac and when in highschool I pulled the ac and heater box, instead of going back stock and trying to find good used parts I'd just like to go aftermarket but I don't want a hack job look. Not really worried about heat just mainly ac and the car has a 4.6 2v engine out of a 96 gt so it'll have an updated compressor.

    Thanks in advance.

Vintage Air makes probably the best aftermarket units, especially in regards to features and OEM like functions. They are just there in SA, so that gives you the option of picking up and having them modify your control unit if you choose to go that direction. I don't believe they offer any surefit system for the Foxes, but I am sure you can make one of their Gen II units work or you can go big time with the Gen IV system. The Gen II vertical 4 lever controller can probably be retrofitted into the 79 dash and is very similar to the stock unit. Good Luck!
