Rear bumper cover

My 84 LX Convertible took a hit in the rear today ruining the rear bumper cover.

I see all the repro sites have reproduction 87-93 rear bumper cover but nothing for 83-86.

Thats crazy. I cant locate a used one, at least not local to me.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

Currently no reproductions for 79-84 Mustang rear bumper covers or the 85/86 Mustang rear bumper covers.

There is pretty clean one kinda local to me on marketplace. If somebody want to pay the shipping from Detroit Michigan I could grab it. He only want $50 for it.

If it's a tear in the cover it can be repaired. This was done to my daughters Ford Taurus when she got rear ended several years ago and I still cannot tell where they welded the plastic back together.

Just out of curiosity, I searched car-part.com. The search results link won't work here, but here's a screen grab. Looks like there's two in Connecticut.

For car-part.com, if you click on a heading in the listing, the site then uses “URL query strings”.
That allows you to save searches.

Imho, car-part.com and ebay are likely the best chances.
My main point was to show how people can save and share search results from car-part.com.

I was told by Matt at NPD that all the rear bumper covers are the same from 79-84, then 85-86 are different, than 87-up

79-84 Mustang and 79-82 Capri rear bumper covers are the same

85/86 Mustang rear covers are the same

87-93 LX Mustang rear covers are the same

87-93 GT Mustang rear covers are the same

83/84 Capri rear bumper covers are the same

85/86 Capri rear bumper covers are the same
