Hey All,
Is there a thread or other resource that gives an overview of the difference between the ford 303 series cams? Trying to figure out the best balance between streetability and a nice lopey sound.
Thanks in advance.

This page has a good breakdown of the specs of each cam:
https://lmr.com/products/ford-perfor...camshaft-guide
And this link gives a good high level description of each cam:

The lopey sound will be related to duration and lobe separation angle mostly. The E303 cam has the most noticeable idle with characteristics that would still be fun on the street. That being said, is the car an automatic or manual? And any other mods or fairly stock motor?

Looking into cam options myself at the moment. From what I'm reading I'm leaning towards going with a trickflow stage 1 cam. Sounds like they are a great mix of streetabilitly and loopy sound. Power seems to be made in the lower range 2000-5500. Might be worth looking into as a option to the alphabet cams.

I have the E303 in mine...it's a 5 speed manual with a carburetor...and I really like it. I do also have the GT40p heads with a Ford Racing high rise intake manifold. It has a nice sound at idle and runs hard past 6,000 rpm. The 110* LSA plays better with a carburetor versus fuel injected setup.

Thanks everyone for the *very* helpful information!!!
letter cams are garbage by today's standards. Hit up Flow Tech Inc. Ed Curtis will design a bumpstick that will vastly out pace the crap other people seem to want to run.
Follow all of his recommendations on lifters, pushrods, rockers, and valve springs. It will cost a little more but it is well worth it in terms of exactly what you want it to do -- whatever that is.
