    Default V8 Throttle Cable

Is LMR the only source for v8 carb throttle cables? I'm fairly certain the last one I got was through a parts store, but I can't seem to find one now. It has been a few years.

Thanks for the link! When I look this up, it's listed for 1981 through 1982. I guess the reason it wasn't showing up is because I was looking for one for a '79. Any idea what the difference is? I'll be using a holley 4150.

Only difference I can see is the material where the cable enters the firewall. The CA-8453 looks to be aluminum and the CA-8452 looks plastic (similar to LMR offering), length is the same for both. LMR also lists theirs as 79-85 so I can't image there being too much difference between years if any. The cable on my 84GT looks exactly like the CA-8453 and I am running a 4150 as well.

Why they don't specifically have it listed for the 79, who knows.

Well, my local O'Reilly store has the 8452 in stock, so I placed an order for it and plan on grabbing it tomorrow. I'm wondering if the differences in the cables are just minor differences in the length between the bolt/screw mounting tab and the throttle ball stud. Anyway, if it's close enough, I can make it work. Thanks for the help!
