Hey guys, I'm looking for a short piece of molding that sits above the sail panel on my 82 Capri T-Top
Any ideas on where I could get one?

Thought I had one. Only have the passenger side.

On my t-top parts it looks like that is a regular hardtop piece that was shortened with a cap. You may be able to just reuse your cap piece and source a trim picec and cut it down to length.

I would have to double check my Ford disk to see if there is a specific part numbers for those pieces, but even then finding one may prove difficult. Easiest option is to just cut down a standard hardtop trim piece and reuse your cap if you have it. Otherwise you can probably fill the end of the trim piece with 2K urethane adhesive/sealer and then just sand smooth and paint. That is my plan on my 82 GT that is missing the same side.

I had to find a replacement for my passenger side.
Finally found a wrecking yard with a car in it.
Not really sure what holds it to the car though now that I have one to replace the missing part.

There are small clips that hold the molding onto the pinch weld at the roof line. The are very thin and often come off with the molding and are hard to see due to the butyl sealant. They often break too due to age, Unfortunately I am not aware of any replacements available at this point in time. Good Luck!
