    Default Wipers won't shut off

    83 gt wipers won't shut off or change speeds can't seem to find any place that sells a new switch

    As mentioned above, ebay is the most likely place to find a new or used switch.

    Wow yeah never heard of it but I Googled d bag and your name came right up seems it works pretty good . Was just trying to see if anyone else had this issue and if it was the switch or someone had a source for new ones besides ebay

    once had my wipers coming on when i turned on the headlights
    turned out to be a bad ground connector on the radiator support
    was backfeeding somehow. electric can be strange.
    found the fault by luck when probing the headlight circuit

    Yep, that is what happened to me. Unplugged the wiper motor until I found the problem.
    It was a bad ground from when I repainted the engine compartment.

    Ok so finally got around to trouble shooting this and the interval governor has already been bypassed, so I unplugged the harness checking for voltage as another thread said to weird thing is I have power on the red wire on the side that goes to the motor and its unplugged on both ends any ideas
