Hello
Im in the middle of cleaning up wiring and I came across this:

Its is coming off the alternator wire bundle from the left side of the motor and travels to the right side of the engine bay. Is the connector anything special or can I just splice in good wire and bypass that connector (Remove the connector from the harness).
All the wires are the same color on each side of the connector.
