Default Hot wires behind the dash, cause radio to stop.

Have always thought my radio malfunctioned due to bad connections to speakers and antenna. Although those are indeed questionable from time to time, found the original wireharness had it's flaws too.
Installed An AFR meter, and used the same power lead because it switches of with the key.
Last couple of days the meter didn't work of only after some time driving around.
So time to recheck the wiring I added for the meter. All turned out fine. Then felt a loop in the harness heating up. If squeezing it the light of the radio dims...
I never guessed there to be an issue in the harness as it is completely unmolested.
Not a single thing done to it. Must have been there from the start.

Might be some corrosion inside harness. If it's getting hot you ought to open things up and check.

Seems I need to remover the dash.
The thick harness with the 2 dashboard connectors branching out is heating up with the contact key turned on.
There is a thin black covered branch taped to it from behind the cluster to behind the console and radio. It is just a loop. See the pics. That's hot too with the key on.
Can someone give a time estimate to remove the dash? And do the seats and console need to come out too?
    Thanks all.

Update. The wires heat up after all fuses are removed as soon as key is in run position.

Question: could wires heat up when putting the contact switch in the run position, but not starting? Because the ignition is powered then?
The wire that's heating up is a thick purple with Brown stripe. I did not find it on the Harness schematic.

    Debunked that. Wire gets warm
    with engine running too.

Got it. It's the ignition ballast resistor. Just a loop of thick wire that is feeding the ignition coil on Duraspark 2 and 3 ignitions.

The accessoires whoes have another cause. The search contineous
