Default Need some CARB guru's to jump in here...

1986 stock bottom end 302, Trick Flow heads and cam, Edel RPM Air Gap Intake. Installed an Edel #1806 650 CFM Carb the way it came out of the box... and my A/F is 22.4 !! It came with (and currently has) a .095 Primary jet, .098 Secondary jet, and a .068" x .047" Primary rod... what size jets/rods would you guys recommend to richen it up?

22.4:1 when/where? Like, whereabouts are you getting that reading?
That kinda number is no pig, and is actually leaner than nobody's business, and needs no leaning out, but enriching... so color me confused...

It would really help if we knew what rpm and throttle position you were driving when you got the 22.4 afr reading. Was it at idle? 3000 rpm and half throttle going uphill?

If it was really 22.4:1, it either would not run at all (idle) or would have blown up, if more than a couple seconds
    under load.

Quite right, we need more data, 22.4 isn't realistic.

Sound like you have an exhaust leak letting tramp air in the system...

... or... misfiring, including RICH misfiring, will indicate lean on an AFR gauge (there's FAR MORE air goes out of the exhaust than fuel with misfires). Oxygen sensors and an AFR gauge is only a tool. Always best to judge how the vehicle is functioning, and such as looking at the condition of spark plugs, instead of chasing any certain AFR numbers... because chase your tail indeed is what will be if solely relying on looking at an AFR gauge.
