Default A Simple Solution to Bears Trashing My Trash

For about a year now I have been dealing with the growing black bear population in Northwest CT.
I won't go into opposition to a hunting season.
We are on the edge of a wooded area, and have a variety of wildlife sharing the area.
A few years ago I posted of the fox family with pups.
But having to pickup my garbage once or twice a week before heading off to work is where I draw the line.
When I did this I did not think it would hold up to a determined hungry 600 or more pound brute.
    But it did.
A couple of eye bolts. 4 inch electrical box covers, and an old web strap did.
    I had to resize photos

I tried the vinegar, and Clorox bleach. It did nothing.
This worked so far, knocked down twice now without being opened.
