    Default Flowmaster Catback

Does anyone know if Flowmaster makes a catback kit using the 50 series Delta flow mufflers for 1979-93 Foxbody Mustang ? If so what part number? I don’t want to use Super 44’s or 40’s.

    Thank you

I don't blame you! I have the 44s and they are too bloody loud. The 50s is another direction I can maybe take to quiet mine down.

Don't expect to get them anytime soon. I placed in order in January and am still awaiting shipment. Currently scheduled for October but it's the 3rd time they've moved the "expected ship date." Maybe by next summer???

I've been running the Force 2 cat back for over 15 years, IMO it's an excellent balance between a great sound and a tolerable interior noise level. I get a lot of compliments on how my car sounds.

Sorry to hijack, but maybe I can come by and give yours another listen. I'm so tired of how loud mine is. Do you have an off road H?

Feel free to swing by, or I can mob down your direction. FYI--I'm going to the Classic car nights in Victoria tomorrow, will also be heading to cars and caves in Chanhassen on Saturday.

I do have an off road H and FMS shorty headers for 'P' heads.

You are right about that! I called 4 or 5 different places and they all direct ship from Flowmaster and it’s out until the end of Oct. I took my car to my local exhaust guy and asked him to weld in just the mufflers. Granted it all won’t be new but mine is in good shape.

Oh, cool that's perfect then. We'll have to figure something out. Saturday might work well. I'll shoot you a PM when I know what will work.

The same company that owns Holley bought Flowmaster about three years ago. They moved all of Flowmaster's manufacturing out of California and into the East coast. Since then, manufacturing and supply has been a mess.

Just a quick update: after a 17 month wait, my Force II Catback system finally arrived from Holley. :-)

Man, that's frustrating about the wait. Glad you got it though!
