    Default beat up LTD LX

Saw one a couple towns over visiting a friend. It was in a service station that always seems to have a lot of old/classic/muscle cars there, most in not so great shape. I don't want another car/truck (I have 11 now after inheriting LTD), is it worth stopping in to even get info about (if it's even for sale). It was not some really nice example. Just wondering if people buy these beat up, I realize the LTD's are not the tops in popularity with the 4 eyes.

The cool thing about that era LTD is they kind of "fly under the radar", not many know about them. With Mustang, everybody knows about them, and will ask bank. I say go for it! Post pics when you are able

I'd love an early '80s LTD coupe. A guy I knew growing up had one, and I don't know what he did to the thing, but it roasted tires like crazy. Would be a great sleeper, and I have this weird fascination with malaise-era cars.

Probably the biggest draws would be interior parts like the bucket seats, console, shifter, and gauge cluster with tach. Exterior would be the side door ding strips and the tail lights. Even normal everyday parts are extremely difficult to find for these cars anywhere so if it is cheap and running and not terribly rusted it may be worth it. Then again it sounds like you need another car even less than I do.

I don't want it at all. But if any interest, I would stop by and see what the deal is with it. I go by there
    1-2 times a month.
