Do the rear shock covers work on 79? I'm not sure of the interchangeability on those. I actually need two sets.

I really don't know. I would think they are the same but maybe someone can chime in to verify. I might have another set, if they do.

I'm not home, but luckily, I had a pic on my phone that shows the part numbers.

I believe the 79-82 are one size and the 83-86 are a different size. Won't guarantee you can't make the work one way or another, but I do believe there are some differences. The quarter panels themselves were definitely changed in 1983 and there were several small differences from the earlier models.

I think I looked into this before, but it's been a long time. This seems correct, though. I would be interested in finding out what the part#s are on the 83-86.

There are no part numbers on the covers. Just a RH and LH.

    FYI, Your inbox is full.
I push my fingers into my eyes......

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update - 2023 - Looking to buy 81 Mustang, 82/85/86 Mustang GT, and 79 - 86 Capri (No Sunroof). Not looking for all original/show cars or convertibles - I will be modifying. Would be nice if both were - Black Interior, PW, PL, AC, No - or very little rust. Motor/Trans/Axle not important. Options negotiable with price.
