    Default Rebuilt 4180C Question

I have a guy who's putting on a rebuilt 4180C carburetor on my 85 GT. He says the carb looks brand new (a testament to the guy who did the work), but there is a dime sized plug on the side of the carb that is leaking fuel.

Any idea what the plug is for, and what can be done to stop the leak?

    Thanks everyone!

Probably just to plug the bore after machining. I would try some epoxy to seal.

Hey here's a good site with some guides, pics, and manuals too.

Yes, I found that site as well. I forwarded the link on 85/86 Ford Carburetors to the guy doing the install. Hopefully that will help.

Thanks to those who posted replies!
