    Default Lower torque box/lean?

Hi, just wondering if a damaged lower torque box could cause a lean? If so, wouldn’t the damage be pretty noticeable?

Sure its possible, but I would lean towards a weak/bad spring first.

It's also possible that is any suspension work was done, the control arm bolts were tightened up without the vehicle weight on them and one side could be sitting higher.

I swapped springs to opposite sides. I removed the axle end of the upper control arms. I loosened up the lowers a 2nd time to see if they would settle. It’s been to a body shop and according to them the only area it’s off is in front of the strut towers, I guess it’s only off by very little. I let the front suspension hang with the rear suspension loaded just to rule out the front suspension. The passenger side rear sits an inch lower then the drivers rear, and none of the stuff I mentioned changed it at all. I’ve read countless threads about this f****** lean and not sure what to try next. That’s why I asked the lower torque boxes. I’ve considered coilovers for the front and rear to level things out but not sure.

My 82 always seemed to have a lean. Most couldn’t notice it but I did. I put Maximum Motorsport adjustable lower control arms in and adjusted them so the car seemed more level to my eyes.

    Good luck!
