Default Restoring my minty 1982 Cougar LS Sedan

I found this sweet machine on a local KIJIJI site and bought it for $400 (CDN$) has 135,000 KLMs (just over 85,000 miles) Solid 3.3L I6, and no rust. She sat for 7 years, so I had to get the wheel wells replaced and the rear quarters patched with new metal, new carb, new brakes and cables and power brake/MC, all new exhaust system. She's minty inside too, so I'll be giving her a new paint job later in August.

I really scored on NOS finds too. New headlight bezels, and wheel well trims (old ones were corroded from road salt).

Greensales had the wheel well trims and headlight bezels.

The bezels were used on 1981 models and are NOT chrome, but satin black. Since the car is midnight Blue, I think they'll look good. The original ones need the mounting holes repaired.

I'll post pics once I find a foto reposiitory site.

Well, here she is, after being Safety-Certified by the Provincial vehicle agency:

The Sun is too strong to spend more than 10 minutes outside, for me. My skin bursts into bubbles in it.

That's partly why I'm building the paint booth.
