1982 Mustang Hatchback Harness Bar
I'm looking for a harness bar that can be bolted on behind the seats so I can use it with a harness, but I can't seem to find any confirmation that any of the bars I'm looking at will fit. Can anyone suggest a bolt in harness bar on a 1982 Mustang GL Hatchback?
Just an FYI, it's never a good idea to use a harness without a roll bar. If you have a bad crash and roll over, the harness does not let you (and your head) lean to the side to keep from getting crushed by the roof like a factory seat belt does.
I learned this when setting up my 2011 for road racing duty. My first thought when getting harnesses was to go with a harness bar, but no racing organization will pass that in tech inspection.
