Default Trouble with the forum page using chrome ?

Ever since the outage this forum page does not display correctly if I use my chrome browser. Other pages seem to display correctly. Tried updating chrome and still the same. However it does display properly if you use microsoft edge.

Anyone else run into this ?

http://vb.foureyedpride.com/forum.php is the correct link that works in Chrome.

If you are NOT going to ../forum.php, it will default to index.html, which will still show the 'site broke' message.

Please tell the admin to take 5-10 minutes and fix this. It's easy to set up a redirect from one URL to another (index.html to forum.php)

Yea, that please. I think there is still some site traffic we're missing out on due to people believing the site is still down.

Since someone changed it to say "site broke" before, maybe they can change it now to say use this other link...

If you try to access the secure version of the forum page with https://vb.foureyedpride.com/forum.php, it will only show the text version of the page with no formatting. You have to make sure your browser is going to http://vb.foureyedpride.com/forum.php to see it correctly.

I been trying that too. It resolves but the web forum will not layout or display correct in Chrome. This is what I see.

Hopefully someone can assist. I'm getting the goofy formatted page with Chrome no matter which link I use. Works fine with Firefox using http://vb.foureyedpride.com/forum.php and it's also jacked up with Edge. Suggestions?

I use Edge and it seems every time it updates it will default back to httpS://..... I had to manually delete the "S" in the address and enter and then it would go to the site. Hasn't happened in the last week at least for me this time

Chrome and Edge which is Chromium based love to force the site to https, part of their security feature.

How do I stop Chrome from forcing HTTPS?

    1. In a new browser tab, enter URL: chrome://net-internals/#hsts.
    2. Scroll down to "Delete domain security policies" and enter the domain that you don't want automatic redirection.
    3. If the problem still exists, try to clean the browsing data/cache by going to Settings => Privacy and security.

Thanks FoxChassis. I couldn't get that to work but I was able to do it by following the instructions below.

Thank you for this. Id figured out the http 's' part but not the 'forum' vs 'index' part.

This. I just realized the site was working again today. I've just been typing in foureyedpride.com and always get the "Yep site's broke..." page. At least I have some posts to catch up on now.

Site works fine on my phone. PC, nope. I get the “site broke” message, or the page with no formatting. I use Edge for a browser on my PC so I didn’t really get any help from the chrome post by Foxchassis. What other options are there?

I just opened up the above link without the "s" in Edge and it opened fine (I use Chrome almost exclusively).
