2003 taurus alternator will it work?

I have an alternator from a 2003 taurus 3.0. the plug has three wires so I would need to figure out which one goes where, and it looks like it will fit
Does anyone know if it will work or am i just wasting time?

i installed one from a 99 taurus. needed to clock the alt, and removed some bracing material for it to fit. measure the distance from bolt to bolt if it is not the same, you need is different alt. search for how to install a 3g alternator. that will show how to connect the wiring.
