Default Cut front coils now way tooooo low

Hi all, I have a 79 pc that was originally a 4 cylinder car, I was in highschool when I cut the stock springs. I cut off one coil and liked the ride height, now with the 4.6 in it I'm pretty slammed, is there that much difference in the 4 cylinder springs vs v8 springs?Name: 4989674007_original_resize_17.jpg

Unfortunately I don't know the actual spring rate for the 4 cyl, but YES there is a big difference in spring rates between the 4 cyl and V8 springs. The stock V8 is @ 400 lb spring rate for the front coil springs. The 4 cyl springs are definitely less than that.

I would definitely recommend swapping in a set of stock v8 spring or going with a quality aftermarket option such as Eibach Pro-Kit, H&R sport, etc. if you want to retain good ride quality, but have the lowered stance. Good Luck!

If it didn't rub it leave it how it is but it does rub not much bit I'd like it to be an inch higher, I have a set of uncut 79 coupe v8 springs I'm going to compare the diameter of the springs material and see if it is actually different diameter and or length, my pc was born with the trx package but again im not sure if the trx package had different spring rates for the 4 cylinder vs v8.

I don't know that you will see much difference in diameter of the coils or the whole spring since they sit in the same pockets. The overall length and the coil spacing will be different for the higher spring rate with a V8.

Unfortunately I don't have a spare set of 4 cyl springs to show side by side with V8 springs for comparision.
