Default Maximum Motorsports Manual Brake Conversion

I have a rock hard brake pedal and believe my booster is shot. My car has been upgraded with the 2001 Bullitt (Cobra) brakes front and rear, gutted proportioning valve, Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve for the rear, stainless hoses and a 1973 LTD master cylinder. I have been seriously considering ditching the booster and picking up the Maximum Motorsports MMBAK-10 manual brake conversion kit.

Who is running this manual brake conversion on the street and how do you like it? Thanks in advance!

LS swaps are the hair implants of the car world. Sure the owner is proud, but everyone else is laughing.

While I can’t speak to the manual conversion kit, I am using their hydro boost conversion kit, and it is very well made and thought out kit, came with great instructions, installed easily and works as intended. It looks to be very similar to the manual conversion kit, with a new pedal, mounting plate, etc.

My car was factory manual brakes and I saw no need to convert it to power assisted. I too am running Cobra discs front and rear with the Wildwood adjustable valve, and have no issues with the braking.
