    Default Starter cable LENGTH

84 ltd lx, 347, t5, 8.8. I sold my 5.0 with the starter and starter cable, so I need to order a new cable. My remote solenoid is on the driver side fender. I have looked at several fox mustang parts sites. Some list the length of the cables (42-43") but most do not. I got under the car and did a rough measurement, and I am pretty sure 43" isnt going to reach. What is the actual length that I need? Thanks.

Have you thought about buying a long one and cutting it down to length? This is how I do it. I buy a copper lug and heat it up (in my bench vise) using map gas. Stick the stripped/fluxed end in the lug and then backfill it with solder. I slip a piece of heat shrink tubing over the cable first. After my new lug is soldered on, slide the heat shrink up and heat it into place.
